The Township of Lockport serves residents living in parts of the following communities:
Crest Hill, Lockport, Romeoville and all of unincorporated Lockport Township.
The township boundaries lie west of Farrell and Smith Rds., east of Gaylord Rd., north of Theodore St. and Rosalind Ave., and south of 135th St. Lockport Township is 36 square miles and consists of approximately 50 miles of roads and has a population of approximately 48,000 people. There are over 19,000 parcels of land in the Township. Lockport Township is governed by the Supervisor, Clerk, Assessor, Highway Commissioner, Collector and four member Board of Trustees.
