Senior Transportation
The Lockport Township Senior Transportation System has offered safe transportation for Township residents, age 55 or older since October 2000. Our senior bus transportation provides services to and from area health facilities as well as business and retail establishments. You will receive curb-to-curb service from your home to your destination. The cost to ride is $2 per round trip plus $1 for each additional stops. All buses are wheelchair accessible. PACE-Dial-A-Ride, is funded in part through township funds. PACE-Dial-A-Ride offers transportation to Township residents for our senior citizens age 60+ and persons with disabilities. 24 hour advanced reservation is recommended or rides will be scheduled by calling the dispatcher on the day before a trip is being requested with the exception of subscription service requests which are scheduled the Thursday prior to the week in which service is needed. Requests for the day of the trip will be honored to the extent that the request can be accommodated within the frame work of the day’s schedule. The dispatcher will notify the passenger of the appropriate pick-up time. There is a nominal charge.
